Interdisciplinary Academic & Character Development Program

Interdisciplinary Academic & Character Development Program makes learning critical character development and life skills fun and engaging. It will help staff, parents, and students identify and prevent bullying, harassment, and cyber intimidation, so every student can be free to be their best. Interdisciplinary Academic & Character Development Program provides educators with grade-specific lesson plans that seamlessly integrate character development and life skills practice into the core curriculum. Every lesson plan features a theme that brings the lesson to life and is designed to be taught by the classroom teacher. Along the way, students will employ action-learning techniques like role-playing and small-group discussions, and couple these techniques with reflective exercises that encourage them to apply what they’ve learned to real-life situations.

Learning for life incorporates real life situations for students to think about and be able to reflect upon as it relates to their own experience in and out of school. The hands on and role playing activities allow our students to be able to apply them to real situations. Our mediation requests will gone down significantly as a result of incorporating these lessons in the classroom. This is partly because students are able to solve problems on their own before they need an adult to intervene.
